| A student's
vocabulary is "well known" as the single best predictor
of overall IQ score. Vocabusters is an alternative to rote memorization
of vocabularly words which leverages the keyword mnemonic method
along with traditional semantic-context methods to help students
develop the cognitive tools necessary to make building their
vocabulary both fun and easy. Our method uses computer animation
and sound to teach students of all ages and backgrounds words
that will be critical to success on both the SAT and ACT. Available
as a workshop (in STEPS), or as a one week online mini-course.
Custom built vocabusters cartoons are available as animations
(CD or Internet download) or pictures (book). |

| The
Cornell Note-taking System is commonly suggested for students
who want to improve the organization of their notes. One of
the keys to the system is that Cornell notes make use of your
existing strengths as a note-taker so that learning the system
requires a minimum of preparation and adjustment. Additionally,
it permits you to develop study notes very soon after taking
original lecture or text book notes without the added work of
re-writing vast amounts of material. |
