Too often basic skills are not enough to guarantee
success. Students may not like a subject, a teacher or a school.
They may be unmotivated, over extended, or competing with incredibly
smart students. Research on this program focuses on harnessing students'
emotions and energy. More specifically we are developing a program
that helps students to:
- utilize their emotional intelligences (including
optimism, empathy, and delayed gratification)
- work within their circadian cycles
- find their flow zone (improving focus and concentration)
- develop self-motivation strategies
- manage metacognitive self-regulation strategies.

Working in collaboration
with the National Teachers Hall of Fame, we are analyzing materials
and methods of the best teachers in America. Our goal is to discover
and share some of the techniques used by these great teachers. |
